To whom or what is Time relatively measured too? If it were up to me, tomorrow would be Friday all over again, and so would every other day. Funny, this thing we call Time; it Moves forward but not back and nurtures giants only to take them down later on. Imagine if there was no Time, would a happy moment last forever? Or would it be gone in the blink of an eye?
But then again if there was no time, then there would be no happiness, no sorrow, no mourning, no… just emptiness. You would not feel, since there is no past to feel remorse over, no future to be anxious about, and no present to enjoy the little things. Sentences would cease to exist. You won’t need to learn all those various tenses for that annoying French exam, because they’d be useless. Language would be lost. What’s most worrisome is that we would all be the same thing… just nothing. The universe would be the size of a micron. Or maybe there wouldn’t be a universe at all.
Often, we fantasize about how great it would be to stop time, but do we really want that? “Oh this is too much bear, I can’t take anymore of this” or “Oh I want this to last forever”, and so forth… we all look for consistency. If it’s constant, then it’s good. If not, then we avoid. We never put any thought into the idea that it is what has happened that has made us who we are, the choices we make, the decisions we take, and the responsibility to bear it all in the end. Who would we be if not for those forks in the road? But hey since there is no Time, why fret over such big decisions; since you won’t need to make them… just be... a particle frozen in some dimension in some parallel world inside some snow globe owned by some wacky alien.Unconscious, uncritical, and oblivious.
But then again, isn’t that what we are right now?
